Summer storm provides significant rainfall for Salina, the region

SALINE COUNTY —Monday’s storm brought damaging winds and significant rainfall to many areas of central and south-central Kansas. Most of Saline County reported over 1 inch of rain and several areas received 2.7 to 2.83 inches of moisture over the past 24 hours.

Residents in Ottawa County reported 1.77 inches of moisture. Dickinson County reported from .45 to just more than 1 inch of rainfall. Similar amounts are reported in McPherson County.

The weather forecast for Salina is dry through Saturday. There is a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms on Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
