Car hits motorcycle, flees scene

A car-motorcycle hit-and-run accident resulted in injuries for a Salina man.

Salina Police Sergeant Jim Feldman said this morning that Brady Burr, 18, Salina, was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound in the 1000 block of East Crawford at approximately 12:20 a.m. Sunday. As he approached the intersection with Ohio, he was struck from behind by a 2010 Kia Forte driven by Alfredo Sanchez, 24, Salina.

Sanchez fled the scene and was located later in the day in the 1000 block of East Ash, Feldman said. Sanchez was cited for following too close, duty to report an accident, and having no valid driver’s license, Feldman added.

Burr sustained a possible concussion and a sprained ankle, Feldman said. Burr was not transported to the hospital, he added. The motorcycle was damaged, but no estimate was available.
