More than 400 students arrived on campus Saturday to get ready for both the start of classes, and the fall athletic seasons. KWU is expecting more than 700 students when classes begin August 21.

To help KWU students connect with Salina organizations and churches, the university plans to once again host its Discovery Fair. The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m.-noon August 30 on the KWU campus.

According to information provided by KWU, Salina area churches and non-profit organizations are invited to reserve free space inside the Hauptli Student Center on campus to bring awareness and create opportunities for a connection with the campus population.

There is no fee for this event that helps welcome new and returning KWU students, faculty, and staff to Salina.

Non-profits and churches are invited to call the office of Vice President of Student Development Bridget Weiser at 785-833-4329 to obtain a registration form. Deadline for reservations is August 19.
