Vote canvassing, Livestock and Expo update on county agenda

Primary election vote canvassing and a Livestock and Expo update are among the agenda items for the Saline County Commission this week.

Vote canvassing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday in room 107B of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash.

On Tuesday, the commission is scheduled to meet in executive session (attorney-client privilege) at 8:30 a.m. in room 217 of the City-County Building, according to the agenda.

At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the public forum portion of the county commission meeting is scheduled to begin in room 107 of the City-County Building. A time for citizens’ input is scheduled near the beginning of the public forum.

Items on the agenda for the public forum portion of the meeting include the following.

  • Approve Public Forum Agenda as presented
  • Livestock and Expo Update – Rick Lamer, Livestock and Expo Director
  • Sunflower Adult Day Services Inc. contract – Rosie Walter, Senior Services Director
  • Bid Award for Project #18-5374 Water Well Road Bridge -Darren Fishel, Road and Bridge Administrator
  • Fiscal year 2018 fourth quarter Juvenile Budget Adjustment – Annie Grevas, Community Corrections Director
  • Fiscal year 2018 fourth quarter AISP and Behavioral Health Budget Adjustment -Grevas

Following the public forum portion of the meeting, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in a study session in room 107B of the City-County Building. During the study session, the commissioners are scheduled to meet with Fishel for 15 minutes concerning Water Well Road Paving and with County Administrator Rita Deister for 30 minutes for her weekly update.
