Reducing the chances for the flu getting a foothold in Salina got a shot in the arm Wednesday,……well about 600 times with the Salina-Saline County Flu Shot Clinic at the 4-H Building in Kenwood Park.

Yvonne Gibbons Salina-Saline Health Department Director, says 220 people took advantage of the drive thru flu shot clinic that began late in the morning, and 380 people took advantage of the walk up clinic Tuesday afternoon.

Gibbons says there will also be clinics in the smaller communities in Saline County, and if you need to get a flu shot you can stop by or contact the Salina-Saline County Health Department at 826-6600.
