Two rural residential burglaries Friday resulted in the total loss of more than $6,000.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said Monday that deputies first were called to the 3600 block of South Ohio after the homeowner reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and approximately 1 p.m. Friday, someone kicked in the front door of the residence and took a number of items including the following.
- an Apple laptop
- an iPad
- a bag of hand tools
- a Monster Rockin’ Roller Bluetooth speaker
- another Bluetooth speaker
- some 9mm ammunition
- an iPhone watch
- a Garman GPS watch
- 32-inch and 50-inch Samsung televisions
- two Spider bowling balls
- a Brunswick bowling bag
- a pair of bowling shoes
Soldan said that the total loss, including damage to the door, was estimated at $3,290.
In the second incident, deputies were called to the 2300 block of North Hedville Road where the owner reported that sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Friday, someone kicked in a door and took a number of items, including the following.
- a Stihl chainsaw
- a Stihl hedge trimmer
- a 46-inch Samsung television
- a Winchester single shot 410 gun
- a Seiko watch
- a space heater
- a Bose sound bar
- 10 DVDs
- a Porter-Cable drill driver
- a bag of miscellaneous hand tools
Soldan said that the total loss, including damage to the door, was estimated at $3,270.
He said there are no suspects in either case at this time.
