Police have arrested a 34-year-old Salina man accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in late August. Captain Paul Forrester said Joe Luiz A Granado was arrested at his north Salina home Monday on requested charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, promoting obscenity to a minor, and aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.

Granado, who is a family acquaintance, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the girl when she was staying at his home on August 26th and 27th. He is also accused of showing the girl sexually explicit videos on the internet.

The girl told her mom what had happened and she then called police.
