Salina Regional Health Center’s Diabetes Support Group has announced a new series of seven meetings that will run through summer 2019.

The first meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at Salina Regional Health Center, Conference Room 7, 400 S. Santa Fe, Salina.

The meeting will feature a discussion titled, Cinnamon, Fish Oil & Vitamins, Oh My! A Pharmacist’s Guide to Supplements & Diabetes, presented by pharmacist Allison Rosa.

Participation in the group is free and open to anyone affected by diabetes. The group is organized by Salina Regional Pharmacy Residency residents Rosa and Tony Pokphanh.

Each meeting features brief presentations from knowledgeable speakers on a variety of topics. Attendees also will receive diabetic friendly recipes, door prizes and those who attend
four or more meetings in the series will be entered in a grand prize drawing.

All meetings are from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in SRHC Conference Room 7. No registration is required. Additional meeting dates include November 20; December 18; January 15, 2019; March 19, 2019; May 21, 2019; and June 18, 2019.
