What began as a verbal domestic dispute turned much more dangerous when the woman involved in the dispute allegedly hurled a pair of scissors at another individual.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Friday that police were called to the 200 block of South Ninth at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday for what began as a verbal domestic dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend. During the dispute, Hazel Ruwwe, 24, of Salina, allegedly picked up a pair of scissors and began stabbing a piece of glass on a door, Forrester said. She then allegedly threw the scissors at a 26-year-old man who was not her boyfriend, Forrester said. The man had to duck to avoid being hit in the face by the scissors, Forrester added.
Ruwwe faces one count of aggravated assault, Forrester said.
