The Saline County Road and Bridge Department is closing Lockard Road from McGavern Road to Eff Creek Road to through traffic starting today (Tuesday) for culvert work.

A Road and Bridge crew will be replacing a deteriorated crossroad drainage structure with new culvert pipe located approximately 1000 feet west of McGavern Road.  Work is anticipated to be completed and Lockard Road reopened by the end of the workday Friday.

Owners of land along Lockard Road between McGavern Road and Eff Creek Road will still be permitted to access their properties but only from the side of the work zone upon which their property lies.
