St. John’s Military School (SJMS) has announced the retirement of the school’s longtime quartermaster, Judi Casstevens.

According to SJMS President William Clark, Casstevens served the institution for more than 20 years fitting and dressing thousands of cadets with uniforms, while providing cadets someone to talk with when they visited the quartermaster store.

“Judi also gave countless hours of her time as a St. John’s Mom, ensuring cadets had that special feeling of being at home,” Clark wrote in an announcement about Casstevens’ retirement.

“Judi is a dedicated, hard worker who always placed the care and appearance of SJMS cadets above all other concerns. She always found a way to make the young men of St. John’s look professional,” said Ginger Wooten SJMS Vice President and former Academic Dean. “Judi is clearly leaving a void that will be challenging to fill with the same dedication and care. Judi’s love for St. John’s, cadets, and Old Boys will always be a mark of her time at the school.”
