Local businessman and county commissioner Monte Shadwick is the scheduled guest speaker for the next StartUp Salina gathering.

The monthly networking opportunity for area small business start ups, owners, and entrepreneurs is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the coffee starts flowing. The free event is scheduled for the Salina Innovation Foundation, 336 South Santa Fe. The program is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

Shadwick is the owner of Blue Skye Brewery. He also has past experience with other businesses and educational opportunities.

Hosted by the Salina Community Economic Development Organization, StartUp Salina is for individuals seeking to start their businesses or grow their existing businesses or for entrepreneurs who want to share their success stories or their failures for the educational benefit of the group.
