No one was injured Sunday afternoon when shots were fired at a house on North Marymount Road.
According to Sheriff Roger Soldan, the resident and a friend were working in a shop on the property located in the 1700 block of North Marymount Road when an older red Ford Focus drove by. Shortly afterward, the car went back by and stopped in front of the house. Someone fired two shotgun blasts toward the house from the backseat window of the car.
Pellets from the shotgun hit the house and two pickups parked nearby, Soldan said. Although members of the owner’s family were in the house at the time, no one was injured, Soldan said.
The damage caused $1,000 worth of damage to the siding on the house, $200 worth of damage to the windshield on a 1971 Chevrolet C10 and $500 damage to the paint and tailgate on a 2000 Chevrolet 2500, Soldan added.
Soldan said a motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
