Cindy Sue Wools

Cindy Sue Wools, 51, of Salina, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her home after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on July 6, 1967 in National City, California to Paul and Carolyn (Schutt) Yementes.

She is survived by husband, Loren Wools; daughter, Patrice Espinoza; sister, Jennifer White of Carlsbad, CA; brother, Douglas White of Tijuana, Mexico; brother, Mitchell White of Scottsdale, AZ; stepmother, Suzanne Yementes of San Marcos, CA; stepsisters, Aleana and Naomi Goff of Vista, CA. Sharon Parkhurst of Salina; fur babies Fred and Daisy; and many beloved friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her first husband, Timothy Powell; sister, Melissa White; and her parents Paul Yementes and Carolyn White.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 845 S. Ohio, Salina. Burial will be in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Hunter. Her mother’s ashes will be buried with her.

Cindy’s love and life was her family, friends, and animals. Her smile and personality radiated that. She was well known for her exceptional cooking, baking, canning, and gardening skills. She delighted in sharing holiday joy by giving Christmas tins filled with her breads and candies.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter in her honor or to Patrice and Loren to help with expenses.
