Salina Dental Arts invites all trick-or-treaters to participate in its 11th annual Candy Buy Back on Saturday.
The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Salina Dental Arts, 1829 S. Ohio.
This year it will be bigger and better than ever! There will be games, crafts, a bounce house, and fun for all ages. Additionally, the event’s participating sponsor, Starbucks of Salina, will be providing refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
Trick-or-treaters can bring excess candy to Salina Dental Arts during the event and earn $3 per pound — $2 is given to the child and $1 is donated to the school of their choice.
There will be a prize awarded to the child who brings the most candy.
“Ditch the candy, that’s what we’re saying. Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventative measures but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost,” says Dr. Jason Barth from Salina Dental Arts. “Kids can still have all of the fun trick-or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well.”
All candy collected by Salina Dental Arts will be donated to the soldiers through the nationwide program called Operation Gratitude.
