County to consider board appointments

Board appointments, employee health insurance, and a department report are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.

The county commission meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.

Commissioners are scheduled to consider a request from Community Corrections to appoint the following people to the Community Corrections Advisory Board.

  • Charles Ault-Duell
  • Kevin Carico
  • Millie Moye
  • Pamela Sullivan
  • George Troutfetter

The appointments would go through June 30, 2020.

Other items on the county commission agenda for Tuesday include the following.

  • Hear a Register of Deeds Report -Rebecca Seeman, register of deeds
  • Transfer of Monies – Seeman
  • Consider approval of the UMR Administrative Service Agreement -Marilyn Leamer, human resources director
  • Consider a UMR Amendment to Plan – Leamer
  • Consider approval of the HCC Stop Loss Coverage Renewal – Leamer

Immediately following the meeting, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in a study session in room 107B of the City-County Building. During the study session, they are scheduled to hear County Administrator Rita Deister’s weekly update (30 minutes), meet in executive session to discuss a non-elected personnel matter (30 minutes), and discuss risk management (30 minutes).

At 1 p.m. Tuesday, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in room 217 of the City-County Building for strategic planning.
