Two Deer Trail, CO residents were injured in an accident on I-135 near McPherson, shortly after 10:30PM Tuesday evening.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Casey Ruddell made an illegal u-turn on I-135 (2.2 miles North of Pawnee Road & W 68th), and was struck by an oncoming semi truck.

Ruddell and a passenger, 77-year-old James D. Blomgren, were both  transported to Memorial Hospital in McPherson with injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
