Marjorie A. Kempke

Marjorie A. Kempke, 78, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 in Salina. She was born December 29, 1939 in Ellsworth to Carl and Christina (Schepmann) Eilrich. She was a lifelong resident of Ellsworth County where she was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Ellsworth and a library aide at Kanopolis Middle School. She married Richard J. Kempke, Jr. in Hutchinson on January 3, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Rodney Kempke (Janet) of Ellsworth, Rick Kempke of Ellsworth, and Randy Kempke of Kanopolis; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Harold, Harry, and Harvey “Babe” Eilrich; and sister, Irene Choate.

Visitation: 4-8 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth with family present 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth with burial following at Kanopolis Cemetery.
