Join the Smoky Valley Genealogical Society and Library for its Christmas Open House Saturday.

The open house is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Saturday in suite 205 of the Smoky Hill Museum, 211 W. Iron. Refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes. Participants are asked to enter through the museum or use the west door to the museum building.

According to information from the society, the Christmas Open House is a fun way to share a wide range of genealogical resources. Saline County resources include original marriage records, probate records, land records, and school census records.

Volunteers will be available to assist visitors with online databases such as Ancestry, Family Search, Google, Find a Grave, and more.
