City commission to consider changes to fees

Among the items on this week’s Salina City Commission agenda are two resolutions dealing with amendments to the city’s comprehensive fee schedule.

Commissioners are scheduled to begin their duties with a study session at 2:30 p.m. Monday in room 107B of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash. The topic of the study session is a baseball enterprises update. A time for public comment at the study session is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Monday in room 107 of the City-County Building. A time for citizens’ comments is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.

Commissioners are scheduled to consider a resolution amending the city’s comprehensive fee schedule for water and wastewater rates. The rates would change as follows.

Commissioners also are scheduled to consider a resolution establishing and amending the city’s comprehensive fee schedule for public works utility right-of-way permits, inspection of permitted work, and sanitation fees. The rates would change as follows.

Other items on the city commission agenda for Monday include the following.

  • Consider approval of Resolution No. 18-7640 describing the corporate limits of the City of Salina.
  • Consider a bid award for a Nimble HF20 SAN to Eagle Software in the amount of $58,054.57.
  • Consider Resolution No. 18-7643 adopting the 2019-2023 capital improvement program.
  • Hear the first reading of Ordinance No. 18-10970 authorizing the execution of a Loan Agreement between the City of Salina and the State of Kansas to finance the south well field and water treatment plant.
