Saline County Sheriff’s Office investigates rash of vehicle burglaries

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office has taken 17 reports of vehicle burglaries in the east and northeast part of the county between Sunday night and Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Roger Soldan said the all of the vehicles have been unlocked, and items like sunglasses, purses, wallets, and change have been taken. Between Sunday night and Monday morning, 8 reports were taken with five burglaries in the 3100 block of S. Holmes Road and three reports of vehicle burglaries in the 3100-3200 block of Water Well Road.

Between Monday night and Tuesday morning there were two reports of someone going through vehicles in the 100-200 block of Morris Drive, and one each in the 100 block of Nelson Drive, the 6000 block of E. Mariposa and three report in New Cambria.

And between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning the Sheriff’s Office has taken two report of vehicle burglaries in the 4100 block of E. North Street.

Sheriff Soldan is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything out of the ordinary in the east and northeast part of the county the last few nights to contact the Sheriff’s Office, call 9-1-1 or call Crimestoppers.
