Bethany College Criminal Justice students recently completed assisting Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy Class No. 58 with their studies.

During the fall 2018 trooper academy, Bethany CJ students assisted by providing role players to make the troopers’ training more realistic. The Bethany students helped with many scenarios, including robbery victim, intoxicated driver, complainant of damage to state property, and driver in a car crash. Having the role players made the training more realistic for the trooper cadets, and gave the students insight into the job of a highway patrol officer.

The training took place at locations in and around the Salina Highway Patrol Training Academy.
