Beautiful Day Friday; Warm & Windy Saturday

As the high pressure moves out of the area, the next system is going to work its way in on Saturday.

This will allow winds to pick up to just shy of 25 mph in parts of central and south central Kansas predominantly west of the I-135 and I-35 corridor. Since the recent moisture has been minimal and much of the land is highly cured, there is an increased threat for fire danger.

Temperatures will be at or just above seasonal normal.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 63. West northwest wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming south.
