Reservations are now being taken for the Salina Symphony Gala.
The theme of this season’s Salina Symphony Gala, “Moonlight Masquerade,” suggests the mystery, romance and intrigue of grand costumed balls, and the fantasy of many well-known pieces of music.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 16, at the Salina Country Club. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for cocktail hour and silent auction bidding. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction.
The finale of the festive evening will be a concert presented by the Salina Symphony Chamber Orchestra and guest vocalists under the direction of Symphony Music Director and Conductor Ken Hakoda.

“Ken always does a wonderful job selecting music connected to the gala theme,” said Adrienne Allen, executive director. “Most of the program will be a surprise to attendees, but I do know that they will perform at least one piece with ‘Masquerade’ in the title.”
Tickets are $75 per person. Seating is limited, so make your reservations soon at the symphony office or by calling 785-823-8309. Proceeds will benefit the symphony and youth education program.
