A New Cambria woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on South Ohio Tuesday morning.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday that Alicea Harris, 27, was southbound in the 500 block of South Ohio when she lost control of the 2013 Hyundai Elantra she was driving. The car went up on the west curb, striking a pole and a landscape boulder in front of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Forrester said.

Harris was taken by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, he said. Her injuries were not known, he added.

The vehicle sustained major front-end and driver-side damage and had to be towed, Forrester said.

Harris was cited for driving too fast for conditions, he said.
