Coyote fans: Charter bus heading to Iowa for women’s tourney

The Kansas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team is headed to the national NAIA Women’s Basketball Tournament next week, and has arranged a charter bus and a block of hotel rooms for fans to attend the games in Sioux City, Iowa.

Reservations must be made by Tuesday. The bus will depart the KWU campus at noon on Thursday  and will arrive in Sioux City in time for dinner and the 8:45 p.m. game against the College of the Ozarks from Missouri. KWU is a No. 7 seed, while the Ozarks are a No. 2 seed. The group will stay overnight at the Holiday Inn Dakota Dunes, the official Coyote headquarters for the tournament. The hotel has suites that sleep up to six people.

If the team wins on Thursday, the bus will stay in Sioux Falls on Friday, go to the 8:45 p.m. game on Friday and return to Salina after the game.

Prices range from $170 per person for two person room occupancy, to $110 per person for six person room occupancy.

If the team is not successful on Thursday, the bus will begin the return to Salina after breakfast on Friday morning. Anyone interested can contact the Kansas Wesleyan Athletics Department at 785-833-4400.
