Elaine R. Paulson, 86, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019. Elaine was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Russell County near Milberger, the fourth of 12 children born to Walter W. and Rachel C. (kee Keil) Michaelis. Elaine moved to Salina in 1987 and previously lived in Russell, Wamego and St. Marys.

Elaine is survived by daughters, Lana Pitts, of Holdenville, Okla., and Betty Trude (Gary) and Melodee Rein, all of Salina; grandson, Kyle Trude (Laci), of Hudson Oaks, Texas; granddaughter, Kayla Palumbo (Tony), of Topeka; great-granddaughters, Brynlee and Olivia Palumbo, and Kora Trude; siblings, Delores Hanhardt, Shirley Roth, and Larry Michaelis; stepson, Darrell Paulson (Laurel) and families; stepdaughter, JoAnn Thompson (Bart) and families. She was preceded in death by: parents; four brothers; and four sisters.

No services are planned as cremation was chosen. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, KS 67401.
