K-State wins 90-60 over FHSU in Exhibition victory

Kansas State used a 13 to 1 point lead after Fort Hays tied the game at 6 to go onto a 90-60 exhibition victory against Fort Hays State University on Sunday in Manhattan. Fort Hays was held to 25% shooting in the first half. Fort Hays was down 46-20 at halftime, and the Tigers made a bit of a game of it midway through the second half, but the Wildcats ended up being too much for the Tigers to handle and the ‘Cats went onto win the game.

Tigers were led in scoring by Tyron Phillips who scored all of his 16 points in the second half. Fort Hays had 12 points from Lance Russell, and 11 points from Markus Yarbrough.  Karron Makenize & Matt Simmons both had 6 rebounds in the game. Fort Hays shot 40% for the game, 54% in the second half, and were 59% from the free point line.

Kansas State was led in scoring by there freshman guard Angel Rodriguez with 15 points, and overall shot 46% for the game.
