The Saline County Commission approved (2 to 1) a fee restructure for facilities of the Saline County Expo Center in Kenwood Park.

The new fees would eliminate a 2% gross sales charges and also offer discounts for individuals and and businesses or groups that used the buildings several times during the year.

Charitable and community organizations will be charged half price of single event base fee structure.

Saline County Commission Chairman John Reynolds opposed the motion saying it undercuts private businesses renting buildings for events.
