Four Wildcats named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four Kansas State football seniors during the 2018 season – Dalton Harman, Colby Moore, Zach Reuter, and Dalton Risner – were named members of the 2019 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced Wednesday.

The four Wildcats named to the list were among an all-time high of 1,643 players from all NCAA divisions and the NAIA to earn the honor.

The Hampshire Honor Society, which began in 2007, recognizes college football players from all divisions who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career. This year’s K-State honorees marks the fifth-straight year K-State had at least four players named to the list.

A native of Salina, Kansas, Harman played in all 12 games during the 2018 season, serving as the long snapper on all field-goal and extra-point attempts. He earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

Moore served as a team captain and played on virtually every special teams unit over the previous four seasons. The Argyle, Texas, product who picked up three-straight First Team Academic All-Big 12 accolades, Moore played in 48 career games and finished with 34 tackles with 30 of those coming on special teams.

Reuter played in 49 career games on both offense and special teams. The Columbia, Missouri, native was one of the Wildcats’ top receivers in 2018 as he hauled in 18 receptions for 239 yards. Reuter, a 2018 First Team Academic All-American, earned three-straight First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors. He was nominated for the league award with a perfect 4.0 GPA each time, becoming just the sixth player in conference history to accomplish the feat.

A two-time First Team All-American offensive lineman and three-year team captain, Risner became the fourth offensive lineman in conference history to pick up three-straight First Team All-Big 12 accolades. A native of Wiggins, Colorado, Risner started 50 of the Wildcats’ 51 games over his four year-career. He earned three-consecutive First Team All-Big 12 honors, while he was a finalist for the Campbell Trophy, Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year, Wuerffel Trophy and Senior CLASS Award in addition to being named to the AFCA Good Works Team.
