Things aren’t always as they seem, as one Salina thief most likely found out.

According to Salina Police Detective Captain Gary Hanus, someone stole a gas can, weed trimmer, and a zero-turn riding mower from a storage shed at Feldkamp’s Furniture, 1930 S. Ninth.

The mower, however, is inoperable, Hanus noted.

The total value of the items is estimated at approximately $700, he said. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Hanus added.
