Celebrate Print Day in May at Salina Art Center with free hands-on activities that explore printmaking.
The event is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Saturday in the Salina Art Center, 242 S. Santa Fe.
Printmaking is unique in its ability to be a flexible and forgiving medium, lending itself to all skill levels and encouraging experimentation. It is a democratic medium, allowing artists to make, reproduce, and distribute their work for a larger audience. By providing a creative synergy and a forum for sharing and building community, this event unites printmakers worldwide and fosters a better understanding and appreciation of printmaking.
Funding for the program is provided by a grant from the Kansas Museum Association.
