Police are investigating the recent theft of hunting equipment from a southeast Salina residence.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday that Gary Stroede, 72, reported that sometime between 4-7 p.m. on Friday, someone stole an Excalibur Matrix Grizzly crossbow from the garage of his home in the 2200 block of Huntington Drive. Additionally, he told police that someone took a Remington 1187 semi-automatic shotgun from his unlocked 1996 Mazda B4000 pickup, Forrester said.
The total value of the two missing items is $835, according to the police report.
