A vandalism spree Saturday night into Sunday morning in Smolan lands a 16-year-old McPherson boy in the Saline County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of burglary, damage to property, theft, and trespassing.

John Johnson is alleged to have been part of a group who used a b-b gun to shoot at vehicles, sprayed painted graffiti, and stole a couple of fire extinguishers.

Damage is estimated in nearly $4,500.

The Sheriffs Office says additional arrest are likely.
