MCPHERSON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Wednesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Buick LeSabre driven by Kenneth L. Ashlock, 63, Canton, entered U.S. 56 just west of Interstate 135. The vehicle crossed paths with a 2012 Toyota Tacoma driven by Brian K. Schmidt, 54, Salina.

A passenger in the Toyota Lewis D. Schmidt, 80, Hutchinson, was transported to the hospital in McPherson.

The drivers were not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
