James “Jay” Williams

James “Jay” Williams, 63, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 14th. 

James was born in Flora, Mississippi on April 26, 1956, a son of the late MaeDora (Lewis) and Alfred Curtis Williams. 

Jay gave his life to Christ at a very young age and lived his life for the Lord. He was an avid sports fan, and his love for the Jayhawks and the Cowboys was unmatched. 

Survivors include two sons, Connor Williams (Morgan) of Buford, Georgia, and Preston Williams of Salina; brothers, Gene “Speed” Sr., Lendell “Tony,” and David Earl Williams all of Salina, and Melvin Williams (Andrea) of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Lois Williams and Marilyn “Grace” Jones (Joedell) both of Salina, and Dyian McBride of Chicago, Illinois. 

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scotti Jo, Blakeley Jae, Quincy Michael, and Maleek Trace Williams, and many nieces and nephews.
