Johnnie David “Dave” Nowlin, 75, of Salina, passed away July 23, 2019 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 15, 1944 in Fayette, Mo., to Robert and Pauline (Hatfield) Nowlin. He married Karen K. Dibble, March 27, 1965. To this union, three children were born, David Lee (deceased), Scott Nowlin, and Vonda Bonilla (Tym).

Johnnie served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. Returning to Salina, he was employed for 51 years in the sporting goods business making many friends.

He is survived by: his wife, Karen; son, Scott of Wellsville; daughter, Vonda Bonilla (Tym) of Salina; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; two siblings; and a son.

Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday, July 28, with family present 4-6 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, at First Southern Baptist Church, Salina, with burial following in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
