TV, cash taken from Salina residence Wednesday

A 22-year-old man is out approximately $1,800 after a residential burglary in south-central Salina Wednesday morning.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Thursday that Reace Streit, of Salina, reported that sometime between 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday someone entered his residence in the 1700 block of Osborne through an unlocked rear garage door.

Forrester said items taken include the following.

  • A 50-inch television valued at $500
  • A safe valued at $100 containing approximately $1,200 in cash

Nothing else in the residence was disturbed, Forrester said. There are no suspects at this time, he added.
