Severe thunderstorm watches have been issued for much of Kansas.

NWS issues flash flood watch for counties in our area

According to the National Weather Service, the severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 3 a.m. Friday. Counties in our area included in the watch:

• Clay County
• Cloud County
• Dickinson County
• Ellsworth County
• Lincoln County
• Marion County
• McPherson County
• Ottawa County
• Republic County
• Saline County

Additionally, Jewell and Mitchell counties are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Thursday.
