Ronnie Joe Knott, 76, of Salina, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2019. He was born March 11, 1943, in Pleasant Hill, La., to Esther and R.D. Knott. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1968.
Ronnie married Carol Conway on June 14, 1964. He worked for Beech Aircraft, Long McArthur Ford and the Salina Fire Department. He was chief of Salina Fire Department EMS division for 33 years.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; sons, Ronnie (Kathy), of McPherson, and Scott Trembley, of Salina; daughter, Amy Sell (Dale), of Overland Park; brother, Coy, of California; sister, Vicki (Mike), of Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
