Robert “Bob” Charles Howe, 82, Barnard, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Wichita. Bob was born March 27, 1937 in Lawrence to Charles Harold and Beatrice Mae (Woods) Howe.
He and Lenora Dowlin were married October 23, 1960. Bob worked as a road supervisor and a heavy equipment for Lincoln County for over 40 years; retiring this past April.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Merlene Thurman.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lenora of the home; daughter, Noralea Clark and her husband, Steve of Olsburg; son, David Howe of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Hattie (Cody) Odette, Ethan (Raquell) Clark, Dawson Howe, and Addison Howe; great-grandchildren, Brantley Odette and Willow Clark; and sisters, Marla (Virgil) Tonn of Georgetown, TX and Martha Gracey of Manor, TX.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 5 at the First Baptist Church, Barnard. Burial will follow in Milo Cemetery, Barnard. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M, Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milo Cemetery, which will be used towards the purchase of a directory and may be left in care of the funeral home.
