CONCORDIA, Kan. – After netting five goals and accounting for 12 total points last week, Cloud County Community College women’s soccer sophomore Izabella Christina has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.
Christina nearly doubled her goal total in the two-match week, accounting for five total goals and adding two assists to help the T-Birds get off to a 2-0 start in the KJCCC West Division. After netting a hat trick in CCCC’s conference opener at Hesston College, Christina would go on to score the first goal of the game as part of a two-goal, one-assist effort in a 4-1 home win over Dodge City. For the season, Christina has 11 total goals which is the sixth-most in NJCAA Divison I and the second most amongst KJCCC players. In Cloud County’s six games this year, Christina has scored in the past four games with each of the past four games accounting for at least two goals per game.
