During the You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign that was recently completed, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office conducted overtime saturation patrols to aggressively enforce Kansas impaired driving laws.

According to a news release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made two impaired driving — or related — arrests and wrote 23 safety belt citations, 24 speeding citations, and 102 other citations and arrested. No texting while driving citations were issued, the news release noted.

A total of 135 vehicle stops were made during the campaign, 105 of which were conducted at night.

“Stops, arrests, and tickets are primarily meant to teach. If you were stopped, you hopefully learned from your experience. If so, we have made the roads a little safer for you and those you share the road with,” said Sheriff Roger Soldan. “We will continue to do that because, while the You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign may be over, traffic enforcement never is.”
