CONCORDIA, Kan. – Despite falling for the first time in 2019 last week on the road, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team fell just one spot and is ranked number 14 in the latest NJCAA Division II Volleyball Top-20 Poll.
The T-Birds earned a total of 49 points to fall back to the position that they first entered the top-20 poll at three weeks ago. Sitting at 12-1 overall, Cloud County is one of six teams from the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference ranked inside the top-20 with number two ranked Coffeyville Community College leading the charge of KJCCC schools. Johnson County Community College remained number three while Highland Community College (five) and Fort Scott Community College (seven) each fell one spot in this week’s poll. Cowley College was the only team amongst KJCCC schools to have the same ranking as last week’s poll, coming in at number 11.
Cloud County will face their bigger test to date this week as the T-Birds will travel to number five Highland Community College on Wednesday night for their third-consecutive KJCCC matchup featuring two ranked teams. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. from Ben Allen Field House as game will serve as the first of two meetings between CCCC and HCC this year.
