McPherson County is hosting its first-ever Stay to Stay weekend event October 3-5, 2019, offering prospective residents a chance to explore lifestyle, jobs, and housing throughout the county. 

“With the Kansas Barn Sale vintage market, Mountain Man Rendezvous at Maxwell Game Refuge, and Manufacturing Day tours of local industry, it’s a perfect weekend to explore the possibilities for living in McPherson County,” said Kasi Morales, Go McPherson executive director.  

Morales will be working with local businesses, realtors, and community ambassadors to craft an individual itinerary for each person or family who registers.

“We can help people meet hand-picked contacts for jobs, housing, and schools that are personalized to the life they want to create,” Morales said. 

On Oct. 4, more than a dozen McPherson County industrial employers will open their doors, allowing visitors the opportunity to network with company leaders throughout the day.  

A welcome reception will also take place that evening evening for Stay to Stay guests to meet and mingle with various community members. 

Flexibility within the personalized itineraries will provide guests the freedom to experience the many community events scheduled throughout the Stay to Stay weekend. 

On Oct. 5, visitors will have a number of community events to choose from including a widely popular Kansas Barn Sale one-day antique and vintage market, Burnin’ Down Main soup and chili cook-off, live music, and recreation of a mid-19th century rendezvous on the plains.
