Saline County Commissioners are scheduled to hear a Road and Bridge Department update during their regular meeting Tuesday morning.
The meeting, which is televised on Salina Media Connection (Channel 20 on Cox cable), is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash. According to the meeting agenda, a time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.
During the meeting, the commissioners are scheduled to hear a 2019 third quarter update from Darren Fishel, road and bridge administrator. Included in the update is a report concerning flood repairs. According to a road and bridge update in the commissioners’ meeting packet, flood repairs include the following.
- May flood repairs have been completed at a cost of $427,908.
- June flood repairs are 75 percent complete and $203,270 has been spent on them thus far.
- July flood repairs are 84 percent complete and $243,808 has been spent on them thus far.
According to the report, the $874,986 spent so far on flood repairs is divided as follows.
- Labor — $248,845
- Equipment — $191,046
- Materials — $435,095
Once the meeting is complete, the commissioners are scheduled for a second meeting, a study session in room 107B of the City-County Building. Following is the agenda for the study session.

- Executive session: Attorney-client privilege (30 minutes)
- Executive session: Non-elected personnel (15 minutes)
