Cloud County cross country holds at No. 1 in latest USTFCCCA poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Cloud County Community College men’s cross country team remained atop the latest United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association NJCAA Top 25 poll released on Wednesday.

With a ton of movement in the third and latest poll of the year, Cloud County has remained the consistent leader among NJCAA schools as the T-Birds are on top once again as they have been for all three Top 25 polls released by the USTFCCCA this year. A big move would be made by El Paso Community College in the poll, jumping two spots from fourth to second as the Tejanos move ahead of third ranked Iowa Central and fourth-ranked Arizona Central Community College.

Results from the Chile Pepper festival back on October 5th would allow the T-Birds to stay atop the poll, as CCCC finished as the top NJCAA team in the meet and placed well ahead of third-ranked Iowa Central in head-to-head competition. Cloud County will be in action each of the next two weeks, competing in the Ollie Isom Invitational in El Dorado, Kansas on Friday before traveling to the NJCAA Region VI Championships in Iola on Oct. 26.
