A Bridgeport woman was injured Wednesday night in a single-vehicle rollover accident in southern Saline County.
Emergency responders were dispatched to Kansas Highway 4 (K-4) about .4 of a mile north of the intersection with Salemsborg Road for the report of a single-vehicle rollover accident, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said Thursday.
According to Soldan, a 2001 Ford Escape driven by Makenze Myers, 20, of Bridgeport, was southbound on K-4 when it approached a vehicle that had slowed down because of ice on a bridge. Myers swerved to miss the vehicle and her vehicle went into the west ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its passenger side, he said. The driver of the other vehicle turned around to check on Myers and then called 9-1-1, Soldan added.
Myers, who was wearing a seatbelt, complained of leg pain and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center by Salina EMS, Soldan said.
The Escape had to be towed from the scene, he said.
