Saline County Jail Inmate Found Friday Night In McPherson County

Release from Saline County Sheriffs Office

Sheriff Kochanowski announces that Scott Paul Cordell has been arrested and is back in custody in the Saline County jail.

On 13 January 2012 Cordell was granted a furlough through Saline County District Court to attend a funeral. Cordell failed to return to jail that afternoon as ordered by the court.

On 20 January 20, 2012, at about 2100 hours, The Saline County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Cordell had been located in McPherson County, near the city of Inman, Kansas, after authorities there received a report of a suspicious person. Cordell was taken into custody by the Inman Kansas Police Department, and later transported back to the custody of The Saline County Jail.

Aggravated Escape from Custody charges will be pursued against Cordell in Saline County, Kansas.
