Construction of the southwest corner of the Ohio and Crawford intersection will begin Tuesday, March 20th. This is the second phase of improvements for this intersection.
Eastbound Crawford will be closed from Lefran Street to approximately 350 feet west of Ohio. Two-way traffic on Crawford will be moved north from its current configuration, while traffic control on Ohio will remain unchanged.
Motorists will be unable to execute left turns at the intersection throughout the duration of the project. Two-way traffic will be reduced to two lanes in all directions. Signage will be posted clearly marking traffic restrictions; access to properties will be maintained at all times.
Each phase is expected to last approximately two weeks. Full completion of the project is anticipated for May 6, 2012. Traffic delays are to be expected and motorists should consider alternate routes.
